They generally have the same temperaments: laid-back, smart, good with children, other dogs and cats. They usually reach 45-55 pounds when full grown, although some of the smaller potcakes only weigh in around 40. They make great family pets! [from Wikipedia] The Potcake was originally referred to as a mongrel, and later renamed by the Bahamas Kennel Club as 'The Royal Bahamian Potcake'. Check out the web site Potcake.net and give a dog a home! Below is an example one of the sweet Potcakes in need of a loving home This young pup was found burning in the dump. The whole litter was left in a box at the dump and this was the only survivor after the routine burning. He is maybe 4-5 months old, with burnt ears which have healed very well. His coat is currently singed short but should grow to normal length. He's quite a shy pup, as to be expected, but loves a lap to sit on. Please give this poor guy a home! |
