We are presenting on this site - three Examples of the WINDSONG Series homes that have been built - STELLA MARIS - HIBISCUS - and PORT ROYAL as well as two of the SNUG HARBOR Octagon Designs. With ISLAND BUILDING SYSTEMS - we don't leave you "stranded" - but offer free consulting services and will even fly to your Job Site to oversee the erection of your Home Package to the completed dry in stage. Another example of "A team of professionals working for YOU!" (WHAT IS DRY IN STAGE? - The structure on the outside appears completed; roofed over, windows & exterior doors) The interior finishing will be completed by the owner/ builder or a carpenter / or builder of the owners choice. SNUG HARBOR SERIES
OCTAGON Structures have been around for 1000's of years. The attributes of the round shape are known to be strong in inclement weather, such as winds, heavy snow loads and earth quakes. Additionaly, these structures look much larger inside than the actual square footage. This is due to the cropped sides utilizing all living space to the fullest extent. They are adaptable to Coastal Building as well as irregular terrains such as Mountain Building. Excellent for Commercial & Church purposes, as shown below. SNUG HARBOR COMMERCIAL SERIES
On the island of Eleuthera Bahamas - Early octagon panelized building systems were shipped in the 1960's. Two very well known resorts ~ THE RAINBOW BAY INN, Rainbow Bay, and also THE COVE RESORT, Gregory Town, on Eleuthera, Bahamas. These resorts have withstood many seasons of in climate weather. Resort developers many times for tropical areas, prefer building octagon structures.
